From everyday school life
This year's 17-minute film was produced by Stefan Paraschivescu - he had a variety of WhatsApp videos from Abnery, Tarimo and music teacher Abineri at his disposal. Despite the limited resources, Stefan managed to create a wonderful atmospheric picture of everyday school life from the students' point of view. Thank you!

Dining Hall for Uwiro
The beginning of the dining hall in Uwiro has begun! This building is of great importance as a kind of multipurpose hall; its construction represents the first building block of the new school complex in Uwiro, so to speak.
In late summer 2020 the multipurpose hall in Uwiro was completed. The last three photos below show the two ovens used for food preparation as well as exterior views of the building.

The new health clinic
The original health clinic was built in 1999 by FoK. A semi-detached house for doctors was planned for behind it. Unfortunately, this plan was destroyed by heavy rainfall and the ground was washed away. Now the local population has demarcated a new piece of land, where a new infirmary and medical centre is to be built. This will take some time and is not a priority. Therefore the old clinic will have to be used for some time.

Busy building in Kisimiri
You may rub your eyes in amazement: the success of our school - not so long ago completely unknown in the country - is making national headlines! This may be surprising at first, but it can be explained by the great thirst for education in Tanzania. In any case, we could not have wished for a more beautiful way to mark our 20th anniversary.

A new meeting and dining room
The developments regarding our projects in Tanzania are very positive: we see that the village population increasingly identifies not only with our work (to such an extent hardly known until now), but also with the school system at all levels which gives cause for optimism. For example, the number of qualified teachers at Kisimiri Secondary School has more than doubled, which has had a direct impact on final exam results.
